We are our own worst enemies trying to cram so much in. I love that thinking about what is essential. Well done on being brave to put your energies somewhere big! That sounds super exciting! Xx
Oh Kate, that's so true. We put all this pressure on ourselves + create this huge false urgency all over the place. Thanks so much for your support. The irony is, I needed very little time to make this happen xo
Breaks are necessary for our sanity. I think there’s too much emphasis on trying to do it all and be it all, especially for women (why is that???). I know a few writers who gave up their blogs and/or social media because those things took precious time away from their writing (as in novels). I believe they are happier for it. Choices have to be made, and you need to make the choices that are best for you (emphasis on “you” 🙂).
Oh Marie, this spoke to me in so many ways. Why are we always efforting in this way?! The irony is I need a handful of hours to move this project forward and it's more like I had to ask myself for the permission for this. Thanks for this nourishing advice, so grateful. Hoping your writing's thriving xo
Thanks love! I'm really trying to step into that. Just earlier had a massive download on what that looks like on LinkedIn...but that's going to have to wait too. Hope you're good honey! xo
With you on the over-thinking and over-communicating (just ask my children & my daughter's head of year when I pointed out the issues that come with a comms vacuum ;) We'll all still be here in a month or whenever you're able to come back. Enjoy throwing yourself into the project. Hx
Very much appreciate this reminder - I read the book a few years ago and seem to have forgotten it in all the busy-busy-busy. Just do one thing, one at a time. Best of luck with the project!
Thank you for the essentialism reminder -- I so needed it right now in the chaos of January. Best of luck on your essential project! :)
The chaos of January..how is this a thing! huge hugs, my friend and thank you so much xo

Refreshing honesty. Enjoy the break, we'll all still be here xx
Thank you! I wasn't sure whether to slide out quietly or own it. I'm glad I went for the latter. xo
The newsletter break makes so much sense - nice modelling. Can’t wait to hear what you get up to x
