You're the purest writer, you know that? Every word so on point, thank you for reminding me that life is always better when we get out of our screens and into the real world, I can't wait to see you. PS - thank you for saving me £35 on fruit pastilles!

This is the most gorgeous thing to read, my lovely friend. Can't wait to be in the real world with you tomorrow. xo

I’ve felt the same about building that Behind the Scenes muscle. As someone who works from home I’ve realised how much life has shrunk too. There’s some synchronicity here: today I posted about my commitment to microadventuring to feel more in life too. No more selfies at my laptop☺️

So much of this resonates - the idea of your world shrinking and yet that desire to be out in it. Honestly, today I'm running errands with a friend at lunchtime and that feels exciting! Love the idea of microadventures❤️

Wise words, as always! I love the idea of thinking about the behind-the-scenes, and putting the colour and texture back into the way we work. I've had an awful lot of very intensive at-the-desk work over the past couple of months, but none of it has been actual writing. The upshot is that I need to do some at-the-desk writing work - but also just want to get away from the desk a bit! Hoping that next week might provide a bit of happy medium with that. (I'm thinking cafes and maybe even some little walks with a notebook...?)

Love this Katie. I have a new project for my business and have promised that I'm making my favourite local cafe my HQ for it too. And yes to walks with a notebook ...especially as I heard it's National Stationery Week this week! ❤️

On the money as always. May is about giving my freelance writing some TLC. I’ve handed in my notice at Oliver Bonas and want/need to dial back up the client writing, but I want to do it intentionally. Not a rehash of last time when I slid into it. I want to see how I can blend it with the life writing I do here. Is there space to grow relationships that way without overwhelming and muddling myself? Also, super aware that one of the major upsides to OB was working outside the house, how can I keep myself nourished that way post-OB?

Oh I love this for you! I love you took the risk and mixed things up with OB and everything that gave you for where you were in your life and now, this new 2025 Harriet is bringing something more to a new chapter! One quiet reinvention at a time🩷 In terms of staying nourished, I'm working on a white paper (for my business, possibly more...) and I'm going to ritualise it by going to my favourite coffee shop and do the writing there. It's a start...or a co-working space...? xo

I smiled when I saw the notification saying you’d posted a new article on here - yay! PR and poet - love that. Totally with you on the constant juggle and also working alone. Maybe we should hold a joint virtual CEO day and hold each other accountable? Have a fab day x

I can't tell you how much that means to me, Caroline. I was in the shower earlier wondering if I should make this monthly instead...blah blah blah. All the old stories...that's a great idea. Have a great day too xo

This is the second time I've encountered the name Glennon Doyle in Substack this week! The first time I looked her up and now can't remember anything about her. Think I'll live. But an inbox detox - yes! Going to do mine now!
