I love the way you've framed visibility as an art and an art in service to a particular community. It's something I struggle with, so thanks for that! 😊

Visibility is always something that I’m trying hard to ignore exists/makes a difference when I know in reality it does. Definitely on my list of things to take more seriously! Xx

From where I am you own your visibility beautifully Becca but I know there's always so much internal chatter behind what one sees. I heard this lovely phrase this morning to "turn on the light of who I am" and that's kind of the vibe I'm going for. Have a beautiful day xo

Love all of this. I’ve been waiting for Sandwich to come out in paperback so that’s very good news. Plus, I’ve learned to love throwing words and pictures at IG as a record, memory of where I am and the stuff that’s happening. I don’t think audience or metrics but it’s funny how people are commenting - privately if not online - that they’re noticing and what they feel in the words/images. Habits - yes they slipped here too - and I’ve loved being back at 8am writers hour. That’s made such a difference to how I feel about my (writing) life and my writing.

Oh and exams here too. A friend who’s a reflexologist observed after seeing me that it feels like I’m protecting myself, that the walls have gone up a little. Yep. That’s right. Third time at this GCSE rodeo and it ain’t any easier 💙

It looks like an absolutely gorgeous edition too! I've noticed you've been sharing on Instagram and that's the vibe I think I need to go for. Like I say it's about engaging in a certain day - capturing those moments of joy or peace and shaping a narrative around them. It's great that you're back at WH ...I do miss it but my kids leave for school at 8.15 and with one in Y13 I kind of want to be fully present at that time. I'll be back...Hope things are ok with GCSEs and wish I had a reflexologist!!! xo
