Welcome back, Antonia! It sounds like you were not only productive during your break, but you also learned a lot from your accidental hibernation. Perhaps you won't take another break like this again, but you wouldn't know that if you hadn't done it :-) I like the idea of emergence; it makes me think of when butterflies emerge from their cocoons.
Hi Marie, so lovely to see your name here! Thanks for your kind words and I hope everything is going beautifully for you as we head into this brighter season xo
Welcome back! Grateful for your return and for this reflection on the pause. So often, we see pauses as interruptions, as something to push through or recover from. But your words remind me that pauses are not absences. They are part of the rhythm. They give space for what needs to emerge.
Your description of āaccidental hibernationā resonated deeply. The way creativity, visibility, and even connection can slip into dormancy without us realizing, only to reawaken in its own time. And maybe thatās the beauty of it. The pause is never empty. It is a space where new ideas take root, quietly growing beneath the surface until they are ready to push through.
Thank you for sharing this. Iām looking forward to seeing what comes into the light for you this spring. š±āØ
Thank you so much Glenn! It has made me think about the connection of creativity and visibility and like you say, how we slip into an extended hiatus without realising. We want to stay alive, awake + present but it's also a lot. Appreciate your thoughts. I've never been more ready for spring ...I hope you are too š±
I won't be able to get the phrase "Spring emergence" out of my head today. Thanks for that. Seriously. It's a great piece, and I appreciate the open honesty. It made me think - maybe I need a forced pause on a few things. Perhaps this frenetic pace I've been running since the beginning of the year isn't good for my physical and mental health.
I hope you're channeling it! It's a beautiful day here in the UK today so I think there's a collective spring emergence vibe going on. I pressed pause on the newsletter as I needed to make time for a specific creative goal (shifting productivity?) and I just kind of needed the quiet too. I hope you take care of yourself
Oh hiš I thought I replied first thiing....Thatās actually lovely to hear. Iām back. Happy equinox and letās promise to keep making poems this spring š±
I think itās ok to rest if thatās what your body and mind needs. Especially if you come back refreshed. Itās hard not to have a spring in your step as we shift into a season of renewal. Good to have you back. X

'Something like emergence' has to be a poem, Antonia x
OMG I didn't even think of that! I LOVE that idea. THANK YOU xo
Spring emergence is a beautiful thing, as is a pause. Seeing the sun and the spring flowers definitely helps creative unblocking ā¤ļøā¤ļø
