“There are years that question and years that answer.”

Hi friend,
Sending this newsletter hoping you have bandwidth for a last Conversation of 2024. That is, if you haven’t hibernated your inbox yet. “Home stretch” has been encrypted into most of my emails/ texts this last week.
Towards breathing space. And if not that, then at least a pause.
Threshold spaces
At the start of the month, I committed to not starting anything new. I wanted to prioritise completion on existing projects. To get that sense of closure on the year. It’s what my gorgeous yoga teacher would call rooting down to rise. It’s my current mood.
Big reveal: stepping out of a constantly activating energy ends up making space for news things.
In those little pockets of spaciousness, I’ve been able to just be where I am.
To leave myself alone for a little while and just be in this threshold space.
Almost like an early Christmas gift.
I’ve also been thinking about the specific energy required of working for yourself – you don’t have that scaffolding of Christmas parties, team lunches, office chocolate boxes to keep you going.
You are your own momentum. And you need to take care of that.
I really want 2025 to be a big year in my business and my creative work, so now is the time to recharge. I love that time between Christmas and new year to work on my business – those magic days of pure promise and potential to build out plans and strategies. There’s a luxury and freedom that comes with them and I’m excited to go deep.
Instructions On How To Be
You’ve probably guessed, this newsletter is not a manual for Instructions on How to Be during these final days of the year. Lots of people are already doing that well.
Rather I wanted to wish you a little moment of appreciation for where you are right now.
Even if you didn’t get the launch off the ground. Or the new website’s been pushed to the new year. You plan to bring your LinkedIn back to life in January.
Take this - from a PR strategist and writer who’s been working to ditch residual mindset issues from her teens😘.
Whether 2024 was transformational, kind of meh or somewhere in between? Whether it asked questions or gave answers.
Take you want from it, leave what you don’t.
Trust in endings.
Allow for new beginnings.
Make space to take up a bit more space next year.
